Three actors are thrown together to perform scenes at random from a controversial new play. What happens next will strain the limits of professional objectivity as their lived experiences blur with the violent narrative onstage. Shortlisted for the 2023 Griffin Award, Animal interrogates Australia’s crisis of masculinity in a feral fever dream.
Animal was developed with support of the Vault residency program at KXT bAKEHOUSE.
The show played at Brand X as part of their Flying Nun residencey in 2024.
